Suggestion Box
Q1. I would be great to see plastic wrap, parchment paper and foil on display with the glass food storage containers and other kitchen supplies. They are difficult to find (above the dish detergent) at present. Plus, they are displayed poorly (there's no room on that shelf to display them), but there's lots of room on the two Wellness display racks. What gives?
Q2. Love Love Love the Co-op!! However, Deli salad containers are extremely difficult to wash/re-use, especially due to all the ridges on the inside! Please investigate a more re-user-friendly container as soon as possible.
A. We will continue to research our container options.

Q. Can we stock organic V8? It's really great.
A. Knudsen Very Veggie juice is on sale this month. Have you compared VV to V8? At this time our distributors do not offer V8.

Q. Would the Deli consider leaving the raw onions out of Howard's Tofu Salad? They're awfully strong.
A. We have now gone back to the regular Tofu Salad (Matt's). Howard's was by special request.

Q. We should carry stevia in bulk, 85% powered. $46/16oz. I buy it at Mother Earth in Ulster County.
A. We currently carry the green stevia powder. We will soon be carrying the white as well.

Q. Put a register in back so people can pay and not have to stand in line at the front counter.
A. We look forward to our new store where we'll have 10 registers! Until then, we'll continue to do our best at speedy checkout.

Q. Chick pea/pecorino, garlic, lemon soup last week. It was great!!
A. Thanks--we're glad you liked it. We'll make it again.

Q. Sweet potato muffins--mid-February?--were amazingly good. Make more please, and where did the recipe come from?
A. We have been making them for least one a week and usually on Wednesday. We've had the recipe for quite a while now. Please ask a Deli worker if you would like us to share it with you.

Q. Please don't move! Moving the Co-op will make it more difficult for people who catch the bus here and they may not come.
A. We realize that bus service to the new store is not as convenient. We are speaking with CDTA to make things more convenient.

Q1. Meat in the Deli. How are the offerings determined? How can they be changed? (What is the process?)
Q2. Organic cattle are fed organic food, but large companies still abuse them. Let's have our Deli stay meat free! It won't hurt anyone to have a meat-free meal. They can make sandwiches with our local/organic meats at home.
A. We believe that we offer a unique opportunity to the community with our meat-free Deli offerings, and there are no immediate/ concrete plans to change the line-up. Any member who would like to change our policy may start a referendum.

Q. Please ask Cornell eggs to stop using plastic cartoons, since the Co-op doesn't accept them for recycling and they suck--they won't stay closed.
A. We'll ask them to phase out the plastic cartons.

Q. How about bringing the boxes for food pantries back to the registers? As a courtesy clerk, I saw many people dropping something in last-minute. Food pantries really need help.
A. We're working on bringing them back.

Q. Please repaint your wonderful old sign out on Central Ave.
A. Unfortunately, that is a piece of history that will be moving on. We will be taking it down and there will be only the lighted sign.
