Q. Please do not have demos
that include cooking meat inside the store. As a member worker, I can't
get away from it!
A. We intend to cook meat outdoors whenever possible. Unfortunately our
weather does not always cooperate with our scheduled demos.
Q. What's happening with the baked goods--so many with butter, sugar
and eggs--I can understand 1 or 2. Why not try to branch out into
healthy baking like using sprouted grains, fruit juice sweetener etc. I
know that these are probably more challenging-- but I'm sure you have
the skills in order to bake healthy snacks.
A. Thanks for the suggestion. We'll see what we can do.
Q. Please post Gustau's cool articles by title on the Web for easier
access.
A. Custau's cooking articles are available in the Coop Scoop section on
our website.
Q. I would love to see more gluten-free options in the deli. For
example, Sushi, homemade sandwich, homemade bread, homemade desserts
like cheesecake or pudding. Just more options in general for GF eaters.
A. We would love to bring in more gluten-free options. If you or
anybody has a favorite GF recipe, please pass it along.
Q. My wife and I don't usually get here until evening and by that time
the cookies and deserts are usually finished. Would it be possible to
make enough to last the whole day thru? They are good enough to sell
even the next day if need be.
A. We try to balance supply with demand without waste. Feel free to
call ahead and ask a deli staff member to save a treat.
Q. Vegetarian sushi in the deli would be awesome!
A. We've had it in the past and will bring it back into our section
shortly.
Q. Coffee cups at the coffee area--how about getting the cups lined
with Coue or Nai petroleum-based lining? Inside the cups plus they are
biogradable.
A. We'll look into it. Thanks.
Q. In the new store will we have a place to trade things other than
books like we use to have outside, where things got wet in the rain?
A. We'll see what our new space allows.
Q. At staff meeting, tell staff "thanks" for having a great store.
A. Will do. Thanks for shopping at our great store.
Q. Hey Deli--Thursday February 18th--Tempeh "slosh." Potato soup
heaven! Thanks, you're rockin' on balancing flavors.
A. Thank you sincerely. The whole deli enjoys pleasing your palette.
Q. Get breads and bakery items from Placid Baker in Troy.
A. We're waiting for them to get back to us. They should be on the way.
