Q. Are the canned goods in lead-free cans? They used to say if they
were, but now it is not indicated anywhere?
A. We cannot verify that the cans are lead free. One would think
that the cans from a natural foods company would be lead free. We’ll
research the current regulations on this issue.
Q. …Still waiting for the unsalted macadamia nuts, please!
A. It’s a good idea. If we can come up with a space for them, we’ll
get them.
Q. I’d like to buy some Honest Weight Coop t-shirts or sweatshirts
for the holidays. Any hope?
A. We are working on this matter. There is always hope.
Q. Could you see about carrying Burt’s Bees cosmetics? They are
amazing!
A. You may speak with a HaBA worker about pre-ordering any Burts
Bees items that you may desire.
Q. Please, please drop your Palm Press line of greeting cards. It
seems their cards are not made out of recycled paper. Yikes!
A. We are working on finding out about recycled content in the Palm
Press cards. The greeting card industry is facing increasing costs and
limited availability of recycled card stock.
Q. Some customers do not know that we charge for the "non-produce"
plastic bags and paper bags. Though there are already way too many signs
to read in the store — how about adding some more? Especially by the baked
goods.
A. Thank you for pointing this out. We’ll take care of it.
Q. Green tea — broken up between HaBA and grocery sections. Very
confusing!
A. We agree it is confusing. HaBA carries bulk teas and so-called
medicinal lines of teas. Different managers purchase different
lines.
Q. Price the herbs, maybe?
A. Prices are on the side of the bottle. If one is missing, please
let a HaBA worker know, so it can be replaced.
