results of the October referenda have been announced. Of the 271
ballots returned,
263 were from active working HWFC members eligible to vote.

Coop members voted to allow meat in the store under proposed
“strict guidelines”
— 149 Yes; 99 No; 13 Abstain; 2 Missing. PASSED
•
An alternative proposal, to allow meat in the store under
“looser guidelines,”
was rejected — 181 No; 78 Yes; 4 Abstain. DEFEATED
•
HWFC was authorized to explore the feasibility of a second
Coop store in the
Capital District — 150 Yes; 110 No; 3 Abstain. PASSED
•
Proposed changes to the Product Manual were approved —
218 Yes; 37 No; 8
Abstain. PASSED
