Coop Scoop

Calling all Coop artists!

Have you noticed the artwork in the Coop's cafe? We're back to having local artists display their work in there. The first exhibit of out new series is a photography show by the space's new curator, Victor Grant.

Victor is a Coop member who was the photographer for Empire Plaza Magazine in the late 1970s and '80s. He currently is exhibiting his work not just at Honest Weight, but also in the William K. Sanford Town Library in Colonie, the Lenox Artisan's Gallery in Lenox (Mass.), and the Southern Vermont Arts Center in Manchester. Being the artistically well-rounded guy that he is, Victor also gives private music lessons.

Victor has great plans for our humble exhibit space, including a place for exhibiting sculptural pieces-but in order to do this, he needs to hear from people who might be interested in displaying their work. To reach Victor, you can email him at hherbal@aol.com , or call him at 475-1412. We also have forms you can fill out at the front desk if you're interested. Please contact us!
