Budget meeting a success!
Over fifty folks attended the budget meeting January 11. (We were
delighted to exceed our quorum requirements this first time out.)
Congratulations to our committed working members who took the interest and
time to attend and participate in lively discussion over the budget which
included but was not limited to: our values, advertising, wages, bonuses,
the working member program, possible amendments, equipment, investments,
and the like. Frank Wind was elected to the Governance committee, and we
all enjoyed a great meal prepared by the deli. Many thanks to all.
Results of November voting
Incidentally, the results of our membership vote in November were not
officially announced. We voted on four items:
• Question #1 (Mission statement): 145 yes, 1 no.
• Question #2 (Statements of conscience): 144 yes, 2 no.
• Question #3 (Exploration of expansion): 135 yes, 11 no
• Question #4 (Work with Central Ave. BID): 128 yes, 18
no.
And strategic planning…
The Strategic Planning committee is moving ahead. If you would like to
