Donations... donations... donations...

As part of Honest Weight Food Coop’s commitment to giving back to the community, we are pleased to have had the opportunity to assist many nonprofit organizations, institutions and charities this past year. Honest Weight follows a Statement of Conscience in which we are committed to donating 5% of our net profits to local nonprofit organizations. We are committed to helping our community learn more about growing, choosing, preparing and using natural food and in turn we support, embrace and celebrate the diversity of our community, as can be seen in the distribution of our donations. Our donations made between June 1 and December 31, 2005 included food, plants, gift certificates, food/gift baskets and Thanksgiving/holiday food and gifts.

Our food donations included fruit platters, turkeys, fruit bars, peanut butter, water, fresh fruit, supplements, wine-and-cheese trays, pumpkins and pumpkin pie supplies.
