Q. Please tell (teach if we have to) baggers not to put eggs on top of tomatoes and such.

A. We are in the process of making a baggers’ manual. This should improve the situation.

Q. Please put in a new floor in the back— it looks really neglected and grungy.

A. We are working on a master plan for the entire store — including the floor.

Q. The garlic in the little mesh bags is dry and tough and goes bad quickly. Can we get fresher organic garlic?

A. Have you tried our garlic from California? The garlic in the mesh bags came from China. Our California garlic is all that is available until next season except for the bagged Chinese garlic.

Q. Could we possibly purchase recyclable containers for the bulk and deli departments?

A. Recycling is one of our priorities. We will look into current options. Please reuse what you can in the meantime.

Q. Can the bulk section carry powdered milk? ( p.s. Price Chopper carries powdered goat milk!)

A. We are investigating a source of BGHfree dried milk.

Q. Pet Guard Yeast and Garlic Powder is sold as a supplement for dogs and cats. Garlic (and onions) is unsafe for cats.

A. By all means, if you are uncomfortable giving Pet Guard to your cat, please don’t. You may wish to contact Pet Guard with your info.

Q. It would be helpful if at each checkout there was a spot to leave the basket.

A. Space is at a premium. Thanks for the suggestion. We will take it into consideration in the reset that is upcoming. In the meantime feel free to give your empty basket to the service clerk on duty.

Q. I find frequent problems with incorrect incorrect unit pricing signs. Current example: Emerald Valley  Hummus sign says $4.09 a pound, but it’s really $4.09 for a 12 oz. container. This problem recurs frequently. Please give it some serious consideration. Thanks.

A. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are working on making our data current.

Q. Bring back Tom’s toothpaste with fluoride.

A. You may special order Tom’s with fluoride. Please see the Manager's Corner: Fluoride (Coop Scoop June 2005) and the Dangers of Fluoride  (Coop Scoop Oct. 2002) articles explaining why we discontinued it.
