Suggestion Box

Compiled by Michelle Calderone

Q: A great idea for a workshop would be a knitting class — can you find a member knitter?

A: We have been trying to find a knitter. Watch the bulletin board and the Coop Scoop for further developments.

Q: I love getting the garden seedlings. Could you put more information on them like: annual/perennial, full sun/shade, etc.? Thanks much.

A: We group annuals and perennials together. The farmers have been better this year with their labels. We will be happy to answer your questions. If you want to help on delivery day, we could do so much better with the labels.

Q: Please carry the vegan tofutti cream cheese (with organic sugar).

A: We are trying to get that. It has been out of stock by the manufacturer.

Q: Please get the carob almond and carob peanut butter cups again.

A: The order was placed a week ago.

Q: Are you able to again get Nancy’s cottage cheese? The last time I saw it here was a few months ago. Thank you.

A: It has not been a very good seller. It has not done well when it has been on sale so we are hesitant to carry it as a regular product. We’ll consider trying it again.

Q: Would like organic whole wheat flour — not white whole wheat.

A: You may not have noticed that we have organic whole wheat bread flour and also organic whole wheat pastry flour.

Q: Even though the bulk rye flour is labeled "dark rye flour," it is in fact a light rye flour. Can we please get a darker rye flour? Thanks. We only have one and Price Chopper’s is a lot darker.

A: We have a source for a non-organic dark rye flour. You can special order a 10 pound bag for $5.40. We have never seen it so we put in an inquiry.

Q: Please stock Gold Circle eggs.

A: We had a sale on Organic Valley eggs so we temporarily discontinued the Gold Circle to make room. They should return on Tuesday, May 11. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Q: Can we get organic quinoa pasta that doesn’t have nightshades added?

A:  We do not know of another source for quinoa pasta.

Q: More unsliced bread (Rock Hill, etc.).

A: It is harder to get unsliced bread and it has not been as successful as one might think. We suggest that you special order.
