Q. Wow! For two weeks your
cheese department looked awesome. New paint, coolers, all that grocery
clutter gone. But now it's back! Toilet paper with cheese! What gives?
Can't there be anywhere in the Co-op that isn't cluttered with those
ugly piles of grocery "sales?" It's bad enough you can't hardly get to
the cash registars, but for a while the cheese dept. was a refuge from
bad merchandising. Please! Bring back my safe haven! Flush the toilet
paper display!
A. We do the best we can with the space that we have. We do not
consider this to be good merchandising. There is no good place to put
these items at this time. In the new store we hope to pursue great
merchandising.
Q. How about some Co-op singles stuff like ads in the Coop Scoop or
parties or shopping nights?
A. Maybe someday.
Q. Please stock white vinegar in bulk for cleaning! Thanks.
A. We have it with the mirin.
Q. Please do a lacto-fermantation workshop.
A. We are planning one for our new teaching kitchen in the new store.
Without access to water we cannot hold one in our community room.
Q. Please sell stainless steel coffee mugs.
A. Would you please give us more information about the mug you would
like us to carry?
Q. Putting chocolate chips and pastilles near the flours is confusing.
They should be near the candy. And I'd put soynuts near the granolas.
A. We certainly have been getting a lot of questions about where they
went. We got new items that have nothing to do with baking and often
chocolate chips are used for baking. Where we place products, is a work
in progress. Thanks for your suggestions.
Q. Put up signs for local food 100 mile area.
A. Yes we will. We are working on it.
Q. Love the onion soup!
A. We'll make it again.
Q. At the Asian Market, there was a short grain rice from Connecticut
that had the germ intact, but was white. No soaking for my rice cooker.
A. We have never seen that rice offered by our suppliers; but we will
keep our eyes open.
Q. Why can't the deli be ready for customers when the store opens at 7
am? Saturdays are especially disappointing!
A. We are in the process of adjusting worker's hours. We hope the
schedule will suit your needs.
Q. Why is the honey all over the store? It's so confusing!
A. Each of the buyers of the five different departments that carry
honey have found unique products that serve specific purposes. We hope
you find the honey(s) that suit your needs.
Q. Best Italian Rustic Pie!
A. We'll be having it more often. Ithe Italian Rustic Pie was brought
to us by Donna.
Q. Love the Kale Slaw.
A. We're glad you love it. We do too!
