Q. Does your bakery make bread that they sell with the other breads? When is it made?
A. At this time, our bread is marketed in our deli. It is baked every day except Saturday. A schedule of which variety is made on which day is posted in the deli.
Q. Could you carry organic canola oil in bulk?
A. Thanks for the suggestion. We'll work on it.
Q. Where can I get a list of the natural chicken you can special order? Could this list also have prices? Thank you.
A. The order forms for meat products are found hanging on the wall between the produce and cheese coolers. These forms include whole and part chickens as well as the prices.
Q. One of the ingredients in some varieties of the Fantastic brand packaged soups is "natural flavors" (e.g., the Split Pea, Five Bean, and Country Lentil). In light of the McDonald's french fries fiasco, are you certain that there is no meat in these soups?
A. We suggest you contact Fantastic Foods (1-800-288-1089) and ask. We don't know what they use for these "natural flavors." Unfortunately, the whole issue of natural flavor is growing in use in this industry.
Q. Bring back Barbara's crackers - please!
A. Barbara's lost their cracker producers some months ago. When they finally get situated with a new one, we will again have their crackers. Hopefully not much longer!
Q. Could we stock spelt pasta? Bulk or packaged would be great!
A. We have spelt elbows and angel hair in bulk.
Q. Why has the price of Organic Valley cottage cheese jumped up by $1? Very expensive! Can we look for other brands?
A. It is hard to find BHG-free cottage cheese. Organic Valley is competitive with other organic cottage cheeses.
Q. I'd like to see more (certified) FAIR TRADE coffee!! For the farmers!
A. As far as we know most of our coffees are fair trade, and all are shade grown.
