Teri Currie

Teri
Currie, a long time member of the Honest
Weight Food Coop, died on Saturday, April 15, after a short illness.
She was
43.
Teri joined Honest Weight
when we were
in our Quail Street
location, and she worked in both the Quail Street store and the
current store. She spent a fair
amount of time working in the store as a stocker and a cashier, but she
is most
remembered for her photography work. For several years, Teri was the
Coop’s
main photographer. Her photographs appeared in the Coop Scoop, on
our
website, in several Coop brochures and were used promotionally around
the
store.
A
professional photographer, Teri worked for the Times Union and
Metroland,
and had her work displayed in many local galleries. She also
did some work
photographing local farms and farmers for the Regional Farm and Food
Project.
Teri was a quiet, modest person who was more comfortable behind a
camera than
in front of one. Teri is survived by her partner Maggie Finn, her two
daughters
Chloe and Jane Von Linden, her two siblings and her mother.
