Q. I would
love to buy a recipe cookbook by the Co-op and for the benefit of the
Co-op.
A. Great
idea! We’ll consider publishing one. It’s a huge project, so our first
step will
be getting all our recipes on-line.
Q. Could
you please adjust the system to reflect half-price discounts on sales
slips as
they are rung, rather than at the bottom? Thanks!
A. We
agree that this would be the best way to display the half-price
discount. Unfortunately,
our current system does not allow for that.
Q. Could
you adjust the air conditioning, as it is too cold in here? It would be
more
people friendly as well as environmentally friendly.
A. The
temperature in the store is set at 72 degrees. This is the optimal
temperature for
people and food. We did have spoilage in the past.
Q. Is it
possible to get heavy cream and half &half in recyclable bottles?
A. Evans
and Meadowbrook bottle heavy cream and half&half in recyclable
bottles.
Unfortunately Organic
Valley does
not offer
that option.
Q. Thank
you for the beautiful new bins in bulk, especially the oat bins. It
makes such
a difference!
A.
You’re very welcome!
Q. There
has been no organic Kortwright goat’s milk. Are we going to continue to
carry
it?
A. We
threw away more spoiled Kortwright goat’s milk than we were selling, so
we discontinued
it. You may special order by the case if you wish.
Q. Opps,
you let it slip again. Today, Tuesday, and no Gold Circle eggs.
A. We’re
transitioning to Featherridge Eggs, a local farm near Hudson. They
offer two grades of eggs. The
premium is the exact equivalent of Gold Circle in nutritional value,
without our previous
shipping problems. We are excited about the change.
Q. Offer
weekly delivery to Guilderland.
A. Home
delivery is a long-term goal that we envision. The organization and
implementation
of a project of that scope is a daunting task at this time.
Q. You
should become a chain.
A. Our
plan right now is to create a flagship store and then create a
satellite store,
or “pod out” across the Capital Region.
Q. Consider
selling the Barbara Kingsolver book, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.
A. OK.
We’ll try it.
Q. I would
like to commend Mitchell, an employee, for the wonderful service he
gave me. I
had many questions. He never “tired” from answering so many unique
concerns I
had. It is really appreciated.
A.
Thanks for the positive comment.
Q. Deli
expansion and store expansion, please! We are doing a disservice by not
being
bigger or with multiple locations!
A. Yes,
we are working on both an expansion and another location.
Q. HaBA
people: We so appreciate your help, time, patience and expertise. Thank
you!
You are awesome!
A.
Thanks for the positive feedback. We really appreciate it.
Q. Could
you sell store-made pizza dough in the deli?
A. We
have considered this in the past, and, at this point we cannot fit it
into our schedule.
Q. Why is
the Co-op selling bottled water from Iceland? That’s an awful
waste, and
I can’t understand how it fits with the Co-op’s mission.
A.
Iceland is actually closer than California
or Germany.
