Governance Review
Council needs your help!
|
Fellow Co-op Members, there will shortly be four vacant seats on the
Governance Review Council (GRC), and we need candidates for the
election at an upcoming Membership meeting. The terms of Saul Rigberg,
Charles Alexander, Shawn FitzGerald and Tim Maxwell are up, and need to
be filled. All four members of the Council have served for a number of
years and, with the exception of Tim, will not be running for
reelection.
Duties of the GRC include reviewing Membership mailings, drafting
proposals and attending one GRC meeting per month. Also, at least one
member of the GRC attends each Board meeting on a rotational basis. On
average, the time commitment for a GRC member is 4–8 hours per month.
It isn’t going to get you your weekly hours, but it’s a much lighter
time commitment than serving on the Board. Interested parties — please
