Membership Has Its Benefits...

When you join the co-op, you not only become a member, you become an owner as well.

You join forces with thousands of others who believe that by pooling our resources we can provide ourselves and our community with the goods and services we need.

Consider the benefits: lettuce
- Purchase whole foods at reasonable prices.
- Learn about health and nutrition through newsletter articles, classes, and mutual exchange.
- Support local, small-scale farming.
- Encourage sound ecological practices.
- You will have the right to vote at membership meetings and in referenda, run for the Board, and serve on committees.
- You are invited to attend all co-op meetings and events.
- You are eligible to receive discounts from participating local businesses that are listed in our Co-op connections brochure.
- You receive a discount on all purchases and depending on your discount level, receive an additional discount on case purchases.

...And Its Responsibilities.
Once you become a member, you are making a commitment to the cooperative concept.

Member Benefits

The support and involvement of cooperative members ensures that the Co-op remains strong and a responsive community.
As members of a co-operative we can affect our community, both within our own organization and in the community-at-large.
Therefore, it is the policy of the co-op to encourage member labor by awarding discounts to members who work in the store or on approved committee projects.
In addition, a nominal discount is offered to non-working members who support the co-op through buying membership shares.
The amount of discount varies. At the present, members participate in the discount privilege according to the following scale:

2% - Non-working members who are up to date with their share payment.
10% - Monthly members who work 3 hours a month plus 1 hour for each additional adult in a household.
26% - Weekly members who work 3 hours a week plus 1 hour per week for each additional adult in a household.
5% non-working members who are senior citizens (65 years old and over)

The 2% discount takes effect the Monday following orientation. Member labor discounts take effect once the member has completed the work requirement.
