Our produce department offers the area's best selection of organic and locally grown produce as well as some conventional and transitional produce. Whereas selling organic and local produce has become trendy in recent years, we've been doing it for a long time, getting our first shipment of organic produce nearly thirty years ago, back in 1978.
Our produce staff strives to bring the highest quality and best prices to our customers. At any given time we have over 250 items available in produce; from local apples to organic zucchini. Our produce buyer is among the last of the retail customers who shop the local wholesale farmers market daily, ensuring the freshness that our customers have come to rely on at Honest Weight. Our garden center is alive with plants from early in the spring season through the fall. We carry many locally raised organic plants, including many varieties of heirloom vegetables, particularly tomatoes.
